Terry Altman came to faith in Jesus Christ as a college philosophy major. As a professional musician he first engaged in ministry as a songwriter and performer. When called upon by his church fellowship, he began teaching ministry and found his calling.
After Bible school and a year on a traveling ministry team he responded to God’s calling and spent much of two years in itinerant teaching ministry in the British Isles as well as the US and Canada. Settling in Michigan, he was asked to pioneer a church-based ministry training school, from which several graduates have engaged in ministries throughout the world. Terry developed the curriculum and taught the majority of the classes.
He then planted a church and pastored it for six years. Going into the business world as a financial planner and teacher of financial planning for thirty years, he continued Biblical ministry as a layman. In 2015, Terry experienced a renewal of his calling to teach, and Harbor Life Ministries was born.
